A Team Of Researcher Captured Footage Of  The Deepest Living Fish Ever Recorded

Scientists have recorded the deepest fish ever caught on camera, a snailfish swimming 5.18 miles below the surface in the Izu-Ogasawara Trench off the coast of Japan.

Researchers from the University of Western Australia and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology used an unmanned submersible to capture the footage. The same expedition also set a record for catching two snailfish at a depth of 4.98 miles in the Japanese Trench, the first time fish were caught at depths greater than 4.97 miles.
