Biden-Harris Administration Says Tension With China Are 'High' Right Now 

White House spokesperson John Kirby has stated that tensions between the US and China are currently high.

Despite these tensions, the US continues to respect the "one-China policy" and does not want to change the status quo with Taiwan, which China views as part of its territory. In an effort to improve relations, the US is discussing potential visits by Treasury Secretary Yellen and Commerce Secretary Raimondo to China.
