China To Invest $39 Billion In Malaysia
China has committed to investing nearly $39 billion in Malaysia, including in the petrochemical and automotive industries.
Rongsheng Petrochemical plans to invest in a refinery in southern Malaysia, while automaker Geely will initially invest in the country and later increase the amount. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also discussed reducing Asia's dependency on the US dollar during his visit to China.
