The Runway Black Hole Is Tearing Through The Universe, Say Scientists
NASA has discovered a "runaway" black hole speeding through the universe, which they've dubbed an "invisible monster on the loose."
NASA This supermassive black hole is creating a 200,000-light-year-long "contrail" of newborn stars, twice the diameter of the Milky Way. Researchers believe that the black hole was ejected from its host galaxy due to a rare, bizarre interaction between three massive black holes, and they’re still trying to predict its path.
