President Of Kenya Tells Citizens To Get Rid Of US Dollars
Kenya's President William Ruto is advising citizens and investors to let go of their US dollar holdings, as its value is decreasing rapidly due to global factors such as the Russia-Ukraine war.
To reduce demand for foreign currency, President Ruto announced measures that will enable oil importers to buy oil using shillings instead of dollars. The Kenyan government is collaborating with the Central Bank of Kenya to reform the interchange exchange market, helping the country regain control over its currency market.
