ThrustSSC reached an average speed of 763.035 mph (1,227.985 km/h) over two runs, making it the first supersonic land-speed record. Green's achievement took place in the Black Rock Desert, Nevada, USA, after overcoming challenges related to controlling the car at high speeds.
